Our Spa Special is available all year. Surround yourself in an atmosphere of tranquility; de-stress and renew your body and spirit by treating yourself and that special someone to a luxurious getaway and a massage. A one hour on-site massage for each of you would be $140/couple plus lodging.
Taste of the Town Package
Looking for a special way to celebrate your trip to Galena? This package includes: a one hour trolley ride, dinner one evening at a Galena restaurant, and either a box of Galena Kandy Kitchen chocolates. $90/couple plus lodging.
Wedding Vows Getaway Package
Hawk Valley Retreat & Cottages is sure to relieve the stress associated with planning a wedding. Let us make your day beautiful and affordable. Package includes: officiate, wedding bouquet and boutonniere, and wedding cake for two. $380/couple plus lodging.
More elaborate functions can be planned while still keeping them small and intimate. Prices will vary, depending on your requests, the time of year and the day of the event, and the number of people attending (maximum 49 people). We can help with all the details: arranging formal wear, flowers, catering, photos, the minister, music, reception, cake. In addition, you and your party will have the full use of Hawk Valley Retreat & Cottages including lodging and full breakfast each morning.
Ski Package
Present a current lift ticket from Chestnut Mountain and receive a 10% discount on lodging. (One ticket per room) A two-night minimum is required.
Eagle Watch Package (January and February)
Take a private bus tour to see eagles in the Galena countryside and/or along the Mississippi River. The cost is $75/adult plus lodging. On selected Saturday mornings, January 16th, February 13th, and February 27th, a 4-hour tour will leave from Galena, IL at 8:00 am.
Bald eagles winter in large numbers along the Upper Mississippi River during the winter months. Tour participants during past years have been delighted to enjoy anywhere from 5 to 200 of these bald eagles during a tour. Bald eagles will possibly be seen fishing, perching, nesting and flying overhead. There will be ample photographic opportunities, so bring your camera.
Galena Golf
Package includes 18 holes of golf for 2 people with cart at the Galena Golf Club, our local course (6,623 yards). $90/couple plus lodging.
Midweek Getaway (November - April 30)
What a TERRIFIC way to take a mini-vacation! Stay any three consecutive nights Sunday through Thursday and your third night is free. This package is based on our regular season weekend rates of $98/room or $195/cottage. Each morning you will be treated to a hearty full breakfast served on fine china with real silverware and crystal. Some restrictions may apply. Bike the Ups and Downs
Take a casual or competitive bicycle ride on Galena’s trail or through the County back roads. Package includes full day use of adult mountain bikes. $75/couple plus lodging.

You do the choosing and we'll do the legwork, and have everything ready for you when you arrive.
