From The East (Chicago) - On Hwy. 20 West just past Elizabeth turn right (north) on Elizabeth/Scales Mound Road. Take this 9.5 miles to Cording Road and turn left. Go west on Cording Road for 1 mile to Hawk Valley Retreat. Note: The house numbers are out of sequence; look for the sign at the end of our driveway.
**IMPORTANT** If you are coming from the East on US-20 and if you use a GPS, MapQuest, or other map assistance, please do not get off US-20 until the town of Elizabeth OR program the town of Elizabeth as a stop/through point. Your GPS and MapQuest are correct but take you down many country backroads which are not well marked, making your trip longer and especially difficult at night.
From The West (Galena) - From Route 20 in Galena, turn north onto Main Street and go to the second stop sign (Meeker Street). Turn right onto Meeker Street (which becomes Stagecoach Trail) and continue approximately 7 miles to Cording Road. Turn right onto Cording Road and drive 1.5 miles to Hawk Valley Retreat. Look for the sign at the end of our drive.
